Brand new and uncirculated 2020 American Eagle Silver 1 Ounce (Oz) Bullion Coins.
These coins are sold in a plastic tube of 20 coins.
Silver Eagle Coin Designs
The silver Ealge coin was modelled after the American half-dollar coin that was in circulation in the first half of the 20th century. These coins feature an image of Lady Liberty walking on the front, with the sun rising behind her. The words 'Liberty' are written at the top of the coin, and the coin's year of minting, 2020, is located at the bottom. To the right of her the words 'In God We Trust' are inscribed.
The reverse of the features an image of a Bald Eagle, the national symbol for the USA, looking to the west. Thirteen stars which represent the original 13 colonies of America are located at the top of the coin. The Eagle carries arrows in his left talons and an olive branch in the right. The words 'United States of America' are inscribed at the top of the coin. The coin's legal tender value of $1 USD is located at the bottom, along with the coin's weight of 1 troy ounce.
The American Eagle coin is only available as a 1 Ounce sized coin. The design of the coin has remained the same since its launch in 1986. These coins have a ridged edge.
The US Mint
The US MInt is responsible for manufacturing all of the bullion coins on behalf of the United States government. The main series of coins available is the American Eagle series. This series is currently available in gold, silver and platinum. In 2017 it was also launched in palladium, however this was not continued in 2018.
The US Mint also manufacture the gold Buffalo coin, which is the only 9999 fine gold bullion coin manufactured by the US government. Smaller series of coins, such as the America the Beautiful series of coins are also available. This is a series of coins featuring an image from a national park in each state or US territory.
All gold and silver coins manufactured by the US mint are required to be made from precious metals mined in the United States. This policy is a way for the US government to ensure that there is a healthy market for US mined bullion.
Coins are available for VAT-exempt storage in Switzerland or for world-wide delivery.
