The French Rooster coins were produced from 1899 - 1914, and are the most popular gold bullion coins produced by France. They are minted at the Paris mint.
The front of the coin features and image of Marianne, France's national symbol.
The reverse of the coin features and image of "Le Coq Gaulois" , or the Gallic Rooster. In addition to the French Rooster, France also produces the Napoleon coin, which is a similar size.
